Team D is On The Air

Baby, if you've ever wondered, wondered whatever became of me...
The Fan 590 radio is now airing public service announcements supporting my Team Diabetes campaign. You can listen to the PSA by clicking on this link or, if you're in Toronto, you can keep your radio locked to 590 on the AM dial. Thanks again to Mike, Ian and Nelson at The Fan for making this happen.
In other news, I was finally able to upload a PDF file of my fundrasing brochure to this website. When I started this campaign, I printed some of these and distributed them through my doctor's office and to friends and family. This lead to a few donations from people I had never met before but the pamphlets were expensive to produce and I felt that the money could be better spent by donating it directly to the CDA. I realize that some people prefer a brochure over the website so I've made the brochure available for download. If you know someone that may not be comfortable with online donations or using the internet, but is interested in supporting this cause, please feel free to download this file and print and distribute copies.
I won't bore you with the details of my training but so far everything is on track and I'm running injury-free and feeling good. On Sunday I had a strong 20 km run through some hilly roads in cottage country followed by a jump in the lake.
Tonight I'll be running the Nissan Foundation 5K at The Docks. Watch for me in my Team Diabetes singlet. I will post results and photos after the race.
Donations have been coming in at a steady rate The total raised for the Canadian Diabetes Association now stands at $4,735 with $1,465 to go to reach my goal. Instructions on how to make a donation are available here. Thank you again everyone for all of your support!

Very attractive brochure! I also made up a brochure and found that people respond to it much more than they did an email, a letter or my website. I never thought of leaving my brochure at the doctor's office etc. I might just give that a try. Thanks for the tip!
